Coach Imants Jaunarajs (pronounced E-mants YAWN-a-rice) joined the Centennial coaching staff as the Varsity Head Coach in 2008. He was born and raised in Denver, Colo., and played with the Colorado Rush from the club's inception, winning three state championships. He attended Earlham College and captained the Quakers to their best NCAA ranking and most wins within a four-year span. Imants has coached high school, premier, Y League, and PDL soccer teams. A former personal trainer and prison substance abuse counselor, he currently works at the University of Illinois. Imants Holds a USSF “D” license. |
Assistant Varsity Coach: Andrew Peralta (email Andrew) |

Andrew Peralta returns to the Centennial Boys Soccer coaching staff, having joined the staff in 2010. He was born and raised in Mahomet, IL, where he grew up playing park district, LISC, and high school ball. Andrew went to college at Eastern Illinois University and received a degree in Elementary Education, while officiating soccer games during his free time. Once he completed his degree, Andrew returned to Champaign to work in his current position as a classroom teacher for Champaign Unit 4 schools. He will begin this fall with his 7th year of teaching at Bottenfield Elementary as a 4th grade teacher. Coach Peralta has had experience in coaching children at a number of levels including assisting at Mahomet-Seymour high school workouts, coaching a U13 team, coaching multiple 3-5 grade teams, and at one time a very interesting assignment of organizing, coaching, and instructing a Preschool/Kindergarten league. Andrew is close to finishing his master’s degree in Education Administration from Eastern Illinois University and still enjoys playing soccer 3 to 4 times a week. Peralta replaces Kip McDaniel. |
